Hello and Warm Welcome to LiveCalled! A website designed for amazing women who are simply looking for a little inspiration, motivation, revelation and a little bit more…

My name is Deshni and I am based on the North Coast of KZN in sunny South Africa. I am the voice behind and the creator of LiveCalled. This blog was created with Jesus on my mind and in my heart as He called me to start this project to inspire and motivate you. I pray that with God’s blessing and approval I will be able to achieve all that I have set out to do.


One of my greatest passions is life is being able to use my creativity to bring glory to the Name of Jesus. This extends from writing for my Christian Women's Blog or using my graphic design skills. 

This God given creative passion has opened some incredible doors for me, professionally. One of these doors, was being selected to be part of the CANVA Creators Program. As a creator I have established the LiveCalled Portfolio on Canva which brings a whimsical, feminine feel to modern contemporary Christian based templates. These templates can be found for full customisation directly on the CANVA platform.

I also provide graphic design services to clients and businesses across South Africa through LiveCalled Designs which was established in 2025.

  Becoming Me 25 years ago, I left my childhood home heartbroken. I left behind all that I knew, a lifetime of happy memories, a great childhood and countless friendships. My mum packed up our whole life neatly into a truck and we moved across the province to a much smaller town than the one I grew up in.   Mum & Me - 1987 This new small town was close to the coast. It promised my 2 sisters and myself a whole lotta new opportunities and incredible possibilities (or so my Dad said). Just call me Friend!

JUST CALL ME FRIEND! God talked to Moses on several occasions, the Bible says in Exodus 33:11 'God spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.' This goes to show that God revealed himself to Moses, in a way which was rarely shown to any other. Not only in a physical way but on a personal level. God spoke to Moses with love and kindness, they shared a relationship usually seen between close and dear friends. The 'face to face' is strange considering that no one was actually allowed to see God's face. But what Exodus 33:11 is referring to is the close knit relationship or friendship between Moses and God. That they could speak so freely to each other. God showed Moses a side to Him that was really not seen by anyone else. God spoke to Moses not as a dominant to a servant, or as a King to his subjects, but as a person who would freely chat to his friend.
