  Illumination A few nights ago, I was disturbed from my sleep… When I opened my eyes, I found that complete darkness greeted me. Naturally I looked towards our bedroom window and was surprised that there was just a teeny tiny bit of light shining through the curtains. AI vs The Word Recently my husband and I were faced with one of the most shocking and eye-opening experiences ever. As parents if you think that your children are not being outright targeted or openly attacked by the enemy, please think again. Because this is happening right in front of us, and we are blissfully unaware of how subtly and quietly the devil is working behind the screens of technology. While these platforms are great for simplifying our lives and sifting through endless amounts of information on the internet for us. WHEN CRITICS RISE UP! Since giving my heart to the Lord over 20 years ago, I have consistently served in some capacity or another in my local church. One thing I have learnt through these years of service is that facing criticism comes with the territory. For most of these years I would say I have somewhat been able to handle it. But recently I have been struggling, as the pressure has suddenly been turned up. So, I turned to God’s Word as I often do when I feel overwhelmed. And God taught me something so important about how to respond to criticism. And I want to share some of my thoughts with you: 1. Criticism Often Comes in Seasons of Transition Critics pop up in certain seasons of your life. Resentment, which is hidden, and longstanding usually rears its head when a change to your life situation triggers it.   LiveCalled…What does it mean? So what does LiveCalled mean and where does it come from? Well, if you are privileged enough to have my WhatsApp number 😀 then you would be familiar with my status that I have not changed for years. I have had the same status since I opened my WhatsApp account several years ago. It simply says, ‘ Live Called’ . To be honest with you, I cannot remember who to even give credit to for this status, it possibly was a random post which popped up somewhere on one of my social media feeds.   Becoming Me 25 years ago, I left my childhood home heartbroken. I left behind all that I knew, a lifetime of happy memories, a great childhood and countless friendships. My mum packed up our whole life neatly into a truck and we moved across the province to a much smaller town than the one I grew up in.   Mum & Me - 1987 This new small town was close to the coast.
